Neocate SYNEO™ is specially formulated for the dietary management of infants (0-12 months) with cows’ milk protein allergy, multiple food protein allergies, eosinophilic oesophagitis and/or other indications where an amino acid-based formula is recommended. It is important to always contact a healthcare professional before making any changes to your baby’s diet.

Neocate SYNEO™ contains a unique Synbiotic blend of ingredients including prebiotics (scFOS* and IcFOS**) and probiotic (Bifidobacterium breve M16V), specially designed to support infants with food allergy.

Preparation instructions differ from other formulas: check and follow carefully. Note: Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Infant formula should be prepared immediately prior to feeding. Do not boil formula and do not use a microwave oven to prepare or warm formula as Bifidobacterium breve M-16V is sensitive to high temperature. 1. Wash hands thoroughly and clean preparation area. Sterilise bottles and teats. 2. Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or until an electric kettle switches off. Pour the required amount of water into a sterilised feeding bottle, cover the bottle with the cap and cool down to room temperature. 3. Fill the scoop provided with powder and level off with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the scoop. Only use the scoop provided. 4. Add the prescribed number of scoops of powder to the water. Replace the cap on the bottle and shake until the powder dissolves. Before feeding ensure that the formula is at the correct temperature by placing a few drops on the wrist. 5. Formula remaining in the bottle after a feed must be discarded. Formula must not be rewarmed during feeding. It is recommended that infants from the age of 6 months should be offered foods in addition to the infant formula product.

Suggested intake: The quantity of feed and the dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only and is dependent on age bodyweight and medical condition of the patient. Add 1 level scoop of powder to every 30mL of water to yield the recommended feed concentration (14.4%w/v). Osmolality at the recommended concentration (e.g 14.4g of powder made up to 100mL of water) is 360 mOsmol/kg H2O. The infant may require more or less than the quantities given here. If other foods are introduced, this should only be done under medical/dietetic guidance and the amount of Neocate Syneo given may need to be reduced accordingly.

Store in a cool, dry place. Always replace container lid after use. Once opened, use within 2 weeks. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.

Neocate Syneo infant formula is based on hypoallergenic amino acids, formulated without cows' milk protein. Neocate Syneo contains medium chain triglycerides (MCT), scFOS and lcFOS fibres. Dental Health warning: Good dental hygiene is important for infants and children, as prolonged or frequent contact of drinks and feeds with teeth increases the risk of tooth decay. Make sure their teeth are cleaned after the last feed at night.
